ABOUT

Gala Fine Art is a roving contemporary art gallery established in 2015 by director Kate Bignold who is based in Bristol, UK. It represents an exciting group of emerging, mid-career and established British and international fine artists at art fairs, pop-up exhibitions and online.

All of Gala Fine Art’s artists are painters selected for their distinctive creative styles. Typically they juxtapose traditional painting techniques with additional processes, such as screen-printing, photographic transfer and collage, creating work that often boasts a cinematic quality and a strong photographic element. Whether their work is bold and vibrant or subtle and muted, each artist places considerable importance on colour.

Gala Fine Art’s artists exhibit regularly throughout the UK and internationally at art fairs, in solo and group gallery shows and major jury-selected exhibitions such as the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London, the Annual Open Exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol, the Society of Women Artists Summer Exhibition and the RBSA Open. They win or are shortlisted for a host of prestigious art awards, including the BP Portrait Award, the ING Discerning Eye prizes, Artists & Illustrators Artist of the Year, the Columbia Threadneedle Prize for Figurative Art and the Society of Women Artists awards.

BUYING ART BY OUR ARTISTS

To browse all the art we currently have for sale, please visit our artists’ pages. We also organise pop-up exhibitions and take part in a variety of art fairs. If you are interested in buying a painting but are hesitating because you would like to see it in the flesh first, please get in touch to make an appointment to visit the artist’s studio or to try the piece at home. Kate is always happy to bring a selection of paintings to show you in situ (this service depends on where you live). She also offers advice on hanging/refreshing your existing collection (see Curate Your Home). If you can’t see exactly the piece you want, please note that most of our artists welcome commissions to create new paintings.

INSTALMENT PLANS

We think art should be for everyone, so we do our best to help make art more affordable. We therefore offer tailor-made instalment plans: simply put down a 40% deposit and spread the remainder of your payment over a maximum of 10 months (deposits and instalments are payable by bank transfer by arrangement with the gallery, not via the website). Your purchase will be shipped to you as soon as we have received your deposit.

SHIPPING

Shipping within England and Wales is free of charge. For the rest of the UK and international shipping, please email Kate for a quote.

RETURNS

If you buy an artwork but are not completely happy when you receive it, you have seven days in which to return it to us, in the same condition as you received it, for a full refund. Return delivery charges are payable by you. Please note that despite our best efforts, the colours of the original paintings cannot always be reproduced 100% accurately in digital form or in print.

WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP SO PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE AN ENQUIRY!
